Aching Feet

My feet hurt so bad every day when I come home from work now.  It would probably help me to exercise, but I haven't quite figured out how to come up with the motivation to exercise when my feet hurt.  Maybe I need to find an exercise where I actually don't need to use my feet.  Good luck with that one.

The reason why my feet are hurting is that subbing is really picking up.   One school in particular has been calling me in nearly every day.  Actually they admitted that they were spying on me yesterday and that I was doing a good job so they know they can call me back.  That made me feel good that I get a good report.  I don't know what the prospects are for getting a job this year, or even next year.  The economy has slowed so much that people aren't moving in.  In fact, enrollment is down at nearly every school.  The county is probably going to have to move some teachers around once the final counts are in sometime in the next couple of weeks.  I guess there could always be a miracle ... (Let's pray for a miracle.)  I do enjoy subbing, although I enjoy teaching a lot more.  When you're subbing your paycheck is a lot smaller, first of all, but secondly, a lot of times the kids are doing independent work such as a worksheet or answering questions from their textbook.  This is great if I want to catch up on my reading, but I don't get to exercise my true passion, which is teaching.  I'm going to start doing another job too, just some contract work; teaching small science lessons at a couple of preschools.  It'll be fun to actually teach some science and also bring in a little more income.

Well, I guess I'd better get back to doing something productive ... No rest for the weary!

I thought it was "no rest for the wicked" ????? LOL. Since you're not wicked, you can rest, right? Glad to know you're busy. I gave you a jingle today...we'll have to chat sometime...like after 3 weeks from now.
