Mother's Day 2012

So, I recognize that it's nearly Father's Day, but realized that I hadn't posted this video yet, and it is one of my favorite moments.  Nothing compares to being a mother and despite the difficult moments, I count the opportunity I have to be a mother as my greatest treasure.

This year on Mother's Day, Lydia and Ben came home early from church because Lydia had a runny nose and couldn't go to nursery.  So, they were waiting for me when I got home, as you will see.  It was such a sweet moment.  I am truly so blessed to have such an awesome family!

Ok, it's time to play catch-up.  Which means ... it's picture time!  Here are a few of my favorites, from the last month (or two).

It's all about licking the beater ...

 Swimming with daddy--she would not look at the camera for ANYTHING, the stinker!

 Eating ribs on Memorial Day (note: my daughter normally wouldn't touch meat with a 10-foot pole.

But give it to her on a bone and apparently it makes eating more fun?)

Does this girl love anything more than swimming??

Maybe "swimming with cousins" ... 

 Or perhaps jumping off the side of the pool?  Actually, I'm pretty sure that's her new favorite sport.

Lydia Learns Piano

I've been meaning to post this video for a while, but I kept forgetting!  If you read the post about my mom visiting back in April, then you may have watched this video of grandma teaching Lydia to play a song on the piano:

So now, Lydia plays the piano ALL the time.  One time, I put my phone on the piano so she could watch the above video while she played the song by herself.  I thought she did pretty well, for a two-year-old!!

Is it time to enroll her in piano lessons?
