Fall is coming

It's cooling down significantly. This morning is was much cooler outside than inside the house, so I opened the double doors to the screened-in porch and set the fan to blow the cool air into the house. It did drop the temperature down a degree so I guess it was effective!

I can't believe it's already after labor day. Joe reports to the MTC in 3 weeks. Every once in a while the reality of that hits me and I get very anxious thinking about what life will be like without him for the next 2 years. I know I'll get used to it, but it's the uncertaintly of it all that really gets me. If I knew that when he came home we would be together, I could calmly wait (for the most part). But not knowing what will happen causes me to get very nervous about it when I think about it. So, I try not to. Instead, I am just enjoying the last few days that we have together, and remembering all the fun we have had up to this point.

I've been in Georgia for a year now. That time has also flown by so quickly! It's hard to believe that 1 year ago I was also looking for a job, but I was going in a different direction than I had previously intended to go. It's funny how life changes so much. Now I find myself unemployed again, and thinking that maybe it's finally time to go in the direction I should've gone from the get-go! I've always wanted to be a teacher, so here goes. I'm not going to let anything distract me this time, as I have so many of the other times. I have a plan, but I'm not going to share it just yet. I'll wait until I'm further down the road.

Joe received his temple endowment last Tuesday, and so we've spent the better part of the last week in the temple. We went 4 times from Tuesday to Saturday, and then Monday (Labor Day) was our stake temple day. I have really enjoyed the added portion of the Lord's Spirit that I have felt in my life as a result of going to the temple so many times in one week. It was almost like I was on my mission again.

I'm excited for fall. It's probably my favorite time of the year. It's the time of the year when things are winding down, and yet gearing up all at the same time. It's my birthday in October of course, and I also love the changing of the leaves and the anticipation of some of the best holidays of the year. The weather is cooler and everyone seems to begin taking longer breaths. I just hope that soon I can find employment and get back on my feet.
