Getting ready for the big move

I'm home alone tonight! Ben is off learning lessons on home repair and renovation from our landlord. We closed on our house last Wednesday, and aside from a little bit of stress with a late document on Tuesday, everything went off without a hitch. There were none of the surprises everyone warned us about, for which I am grateful! We bought a used fridge and a gas stove from my boss which we dropped off on Saturday evening. We needed the fridge, and although we didn't need the stove as the home came with a gas stove, it was a very old stove, the oven was small, AND it was built in to the cabinets which I wasn't thrilled about. The "new" stove is a freestanding stove, and Ben and my landlord are working hard tonight to get the old stove out, cut out the cabinets and get the "new" stove in. Fun fun!

The big move is on Saturday, and I've had lots of help packing. I'm very grateful for good friends who are so willing to help! Today my sister-in-law and my mother and father-in-law came over and we got all my books and all my food storage packed. Now all that's left is the kitchen, clothes, and the stuff in the TV room. It's amazing how many boxes it takes once you get started. Hopefully I'll be able to go over soon and take some pictures to post online.
