Lane shift ahead. Please drive slow.

I wonder if most people would recognize the error in that phrase. So, let's make it a contest. Leave your answer in the comments!

In all seriousness, I was driving down the road today and when I saw that sign I had a coughing fit and nearly drove off the road. I have to admit though, living in Georgia has seriously affected my ability to properly speak and write English. Well, it's partially that and it's partially the fact that I spent a year and a half of my life speaking Russian instead of English. I find myself mixing up their, they're and there, which is something that I have never before done in my life. I also suspect that I'm becoming senile in my old age. I'm not as young and quick-minded as I once was, that's for sure ...

I went to a Braves game last night. It was enormous good fun, especially since we were sitting in the 7th row! AND, considering we were right behind the visitor's dugout, they had removed the first 5 rows so it was more like 2nd row. It was so great!

LOL. Gotta hand it to the east coast to not be able to speak English correctly. If this was proper English, the sign should say, "Lane shift ahead, please slow down." Or "...please drive slower." Maybe we should have a sign in every International airport and border station that says, "Welcome to America! We're so culturally diverse that even we can't speak English."
