Joe called me on Wednesday while I was at work to tell me that his Bishop had called and told him that he could turn his mission papers in this next Wednesday!!! I'm so excited, but more than that, I'm incredibly relieved. I didn't know how much longer I could bear the burden of uncertainty. I didn't realize how heavy that burden was until he told me and I could feel the weight just lift off my shoulders.
I am so excited for Joe to go on a mission! I will miss him terribly; he has become one of my best friends these last 4 months or so that we have been dating. But, I know that going on a mission is an experience that he needs and he will come back a better person. I have learned so much from dating him, and my life has been so much fun. I suspect he will be out of here in about 3 months, but we will probably stop dating at some point before that so he can focus on his mission.
